About Tay

TAY Jewellery, named after its founders’ Tamara and Jay, is a range of bold and beautiful jewellery. The collection is hand crafted using large semi-precious stones and created by skilled artisans with an imagination unencumbered by modern trends.

The design duo individually select stones which are set in either gold plated sterling silver or gold plated brass. Made in exotic Sri Lankan and Thai workshops, eclectic gems such as Prehnite, Malachite, Aquamarine & Labradorite are set in a mix of classic and modern settings.

For both Tamara and Jay, jewellery has been a part of their lives from an early age. Some of Tamara’s earliest memories are of jewellers’ workshops in Beirut, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, sitting and watching her mother create bespoke pieces for her personal collection. As for Jay, he fondly remembers his father, a gemstone dealer, returning from trips abroad with magnificent stones that were destined for the great jewellery houses of Paris & London.

Inspired by vintage pieces from the 60’s and 70’s, TAY Jewellery makes a statement. Rock crystal necklaces, chiselled cocktail rings and stunning drop necklaces can be layered or worn individually and transcend from day to night.

We like to think our jewellery is of the style that would have been worn at a glamorous and bohemian pool side party photographed by the legendary Slim Aarons.
