Inspired by Victorian ‘fob’ pendants, this strikingly bold piece is made up of a large ‘spinning’ disc set to one side with Labradorite, and to the reverse with Obsidian within a gold frame.
Labradorite is a wonderful opalescent stone which changes colour according to how it catches the light - originally discovered on the Labrador peninsula in Canada from where it derives its’ name.
Obsidian is a volcanic glass, which sometimes (as is the case here) has an extremely attractive ‘golden’ iridescence
The pendant is sold with a long ‘oval-link’ chain & a leather strap with a ‘TAY’ branded ‘keeper’
Polished brass, Gold plated
Set with a round cabochon Labradorite & Obsidian measuring 32mm each
